February 2008:



We are again happy to inform the community that all of the EMT Students from Irvona EMS have successfully completed and passed both their practical and written exams. Again Congratulations Alyssa Fritz, Robert Pennington, Jake Srock, Tammy Glass, and Melissa.

6 rigorous months but you completed your goals and have opened new opportunities.
Again, Congratulations and Well Done!!!





January 2008:



State Grant approval for IVAS has came in. This funding will help with essential equipment necessary to maintain an functional BLS ambulance.

The grant is also being used for in house training to keep the members on top of their game in the most unexpected circumstances.







Better Communications for our area of the county!



The construction of an emergency communications tower just outside of Coalport in Beccaria Twp has been approved to be built.

The tower will be 330' high and is targeted to be built and online with communications in the 1st quarter of 2008. The new tower will house County Fire Dispatch, EMS med 9, and Fire ground 8.



This tower will compliment the Public Safety frequencies by increasing radio coverage in the southern part of Clearfield County. The tower is also being built with the capability to support additional equipment in the future if expasion is needed.
